An Event Tailored to Montrose Travel Professionals

Montrose Travel Educational Conference 2012

This year, the entire MTravel.com core business development team and sales support team is attending the conference, and with a larger staff means more open ears. Andi Mysza, President of MTravel.com, describes the team’s ethic behind planning the event: “Every year, we survey our independent travel professionals to get their take on what they’d like to see on our agenda. From there, we build our conference content around their feedback. The whole event is completely customized to what our agents want and need.”Connecting the Montrose Family

Fostering a sense of community is also a high priority to the team at Montrose Travel. “The goal of the conference is not only to educate, but to develop a true connection to your peers, our BDMs and Montrose Travel” says Debbie Herroz, Sales Support/Business Development. “Independent agents can sometimes feel isolated from the rest of the travel industry at large – it’s crucial that they understand their value as a travel professional as well as a member of the Montrose Travel family.”

Educational Opportunities Abound

With these objectives in mind, the team has developed a jam-packed itinerary to deliver a well-rounded event for their agents. Attendees will benefit from general educational sessions as well as their choice of three ‘learning burst’ electives each day according to their experience level.

Montrose Travel Ship Inspections

Practical advice will also be gained through the new ‘Show and Share’ session, with each agent providing their knowledge on the best practices that have worked for their business. The ‘Tech Lab’ will be an open classroom for agents to meet with the team and target key weaknesses in their technological knowledge. Montrose Travel has also arranged for three special ship inspections of Royal Caribbean, Disney and Carnival vessels to gain pertinent product knowledge and earn credits towards CLIA designations.

Finally, numerous roundtable discussions, festive game nights, small group dining and one-on-one sessions with the suppliers of their choice are just a few of the ways attendees will be able to connect with vendor reps to discuss their business.
