Host Agency
After years of being interested in the travel industry, becoming a travel agent with Boardwalk Travel Agency has been a wonderful experience! From a technical aspect, the official website flows well and is incredibly easy to navigate. As a first time agent, the team at Boardwalk have been super helpful with all my questions. The agency offers a wide variety of suppliers to work with for your clients and is fast with helping you get setup.

What do you like most about Vacation Creations? Vacation Creations is a powerful, yet easy to understand CRM platform. Our agency has 20 agents with varying levels of technical skills, but everyone can manage to utilize Vacation Creations with limited training. Pur power users appreciate the dashboards and reports, while our basic users just like that it is easy to use. What are some areas of Vacation Creations's product that could be improved? I feel that the triggers and variable content available when using scheduled reservation emails could be more robust. They are in need of additional fields for certain dates for cruises (like activity booking dates, online check-in date, etc.) to be able to better utilize the scheduled email functions. I have been in contact with the Vacation Creations team, and they are interested in adding this functionality in a future update! What problems does Vacation Creations solve for you? Vacation Creations is truly where we run the daily operations of our company. Everything from marketing emails, to reservation tracking, to commission payments is tracked and recorded in Vacation Creations, giving our team a one-stop-shop for all the information they may need.

What do you like most about Travefy? The modular framework of Travefy makes creating itineraries super intuitive and easy. It also allows me to create my own library of content, which I love because it can be very time consuming to lay out descriptions and attachments just the way I want them for more complex itinerary items. I also really appreciate being able to look up venues and operators using the built-in google maps search tool. Overall, my clients are always pleasantly surprised at how nice the itinerary looks and how easy it is for them to use. What are some areas of Travefy's product that could be improved? Sometimes the layout of the itinerary can feel overwhelming - especially for long trips with lots of items included. It is also difficult to lay out itinerary options clearly, because the "decisions" feature is separate. It can also be difficult to track back-end data like itinerary budget, commissions, and client account information. What problems does Travefy solve for you? Travefy gives me an easy framework to put a mobile-friendly itinerary together. Without it, I would be stuck crafting manual documents that offer clumsy links to external sites and don't offer easy mobile viewing or communication. Travefy centers my clients into one spot where they can view every piece of their itinerary, easily open links and maps, contact tour operators, learn about their destination, and even message me if they need to.

Hi, I’m Steph! I own the site. :)

I’m passionately curious, always up for something new! I love to travel, read/write, and meet new people. I have a sweet Aussie named Fennec and a boisterous Husky mix called Orion that keep me company!

I grew up in the travel industry, my parents’ travel agency was in the basement. Later on, I built and worked at a host agency for years. Sometimes I get so excited about things, I think I leave a trail of rainbows in my footprints! :)
